Indian River Camp 47
Brevard County, Florida

The Confederate
Sons Association Indian River Camp 47 is a historical, educational,
and non-political Southern heritage organization. The Camp meets monthly to
honor the memory of those who bravely served the Confederate States of
America, and to learn about our Southern ancestors. CSA Indian River Camp 47
was formed and named in honor of the Confederate veterans who formed the
Indian River United Confederate Veterans Camp in Titusville, Florida in 1891.
Our Camp
participates in living history demonstrations, educational programs, parades,
civic events, and Confederate memorial services. Many of our members are also
battle reenactors.
Our Camp has two
categories of membership. Membership is open to those who have a documented
ancestor who served the Confederacy, as well as those who do not. All who are
interested in the 1861-1865 period in history are welcome to attend our Camp
meetings and apply for membership. If you don't know if you have a Southern
ancestor who served the Confederacy, we can help you in your research.
We meet at Dennys Restaurant in Titusville,
Florida on the fourth Thursday of the month from 7:00 p.m.--9:00 p.m. Contact
one of our Camp officers for more information. If you love history, then
this is the organization for you!!!
Serving all of Brevard
County, Florida and surrounding areas.

If you love the
history of the South, and the period dress then this is the organization to
join!

Whether you
have northern or southern ancestors contact a camp Officer about meeting times
and membership qualifications.

Background music is the Southern National Anthem "God Save the
South"
